Jennie Bags

I have a new style of bags I'm calling my Jennie bags after my daughter who would have loved carrying one of these.  This first one is a clutch made from silk recycled from a Japanese kimono.  It's been embroidered on the front and back and is also embellished with Sashiko stitching.

This next bag is recycled from a black ultra suede suit.  In addition to the embroidery, the bag is embellished with Sashiko stitching and seed pearls.

Latest Sweet Pea

This is one of the latest versions of my Sweet Pea Bags.  Again made out of recycled blue jeans, I have painted, free motion embroidered and used a sashiko stitching overall to finish the embellishment.  Traditional sashiko designs follow a set pattern; however, I prefer to let the stitching flow around my painted designs or in a very random manner.  To see more of my Sweet Pea bags, follow the link above.

Welcome to Windy Rose Designs

If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind bag for day or evening wear, I hope you will find something in the bags I have made that will interest you.  I have worked with a variety of fabrics from dupioni silk to denim and will make a bag to suit your tastes.  The links above will take you to my two most popular bag designs and show you some of the techniques I use in creating my bags.

Enjoy!
